Bloody, Bold, and Resolute?

If, like me, your New Year's resolutions are starting to look suspiciously as if they would like to fall by the wayside, you may be looking for resolute role models to get you through. But where to find them? Growing up I became used to my mother, an English teacher, quoting Hamlet or Othello (or indeed The Chalet School) in response to most crises. Frankly, as a teenager, I wanted to hear "thou know'st 'tis common" almost as little as Hamlet himself, but now, in this New Year's resolution related crisis, I am clinging to the bard for moral support.

I hope you will enjoy this film about New Year's resolutions, Cleopatra, and Mary Sidney.
